I hope the viewer finds a measure of the joy I feel while creating a painting.  Every work is a challenge and a learning experience.  When I am frustrated with a painting, all I have to do is find the fellowship of other artist or read the thoughts of the masters to understand that I am not alone, that every artist follows the same path.  Different grades and curves and side paths, but we all share the common desire to create and communicate through our paintings.

Slow start for 2014

The painting "Harbour of Honfleur" was just completed, but already sold.  This was painted from a photo reference taken on my trip to France last September.  I am in the process of working on two other French boat scenes which will be shown at the West Baton Rouge Museum in May of this year.

A few new paintings have been added - I will be working toward the Feliciana Art Show in Jackson, LA at the end of March - Friday - Sunday, March 28-30.  Hope to see you there!

Monday, 3/31 - Wonderful show, sold some, saw many friends, made new friends, always love to talk about art!  I had two small pastels as well as a couple of other new smalls at the show that I don't have on the web site.  The pastels sold which is encouraging.  I'm noting for the viewers convenience the ones shown on available which were sold.  I will move them off the page when I have more time.  Thanks everyone for your interest and continued encouragement!!
